Throughout the history of the IES Group, three generations of the Soler family have been incorporated. We have researched, innovated and multiplied the products, specializing in the Engineering sector carrying out custom projects. We have modernized facilities, machinery and design software, adapting to the new technological world, and we continue to move forward.

PRESENT DAY AND BUSINESS MODEL
Present day: over the years, IES has been run by three generations of the Soler family. Its ever-present goal and success in providing top-quality products and services has resulted in a high level of competitiveness that has translated into growth. IES’ consolidated position comes from its expert techniques and its desire to become the best, adapting to changing circumstances and always innovating to meet market needs. IES continues to grow under the good old philosophy of offering solutions and services. -

FOUNDATION AND CONSTANT GROWTH
1940: Joan Soler Torroella founded Industrias Eléctricas Soler, SA.
1943: Registered its first trademark, EXPRESS.
1950: Registered the IES trademark.
1952: Expanded its operations all over Spain with 14 representatives.
1957: The founder’s children joined the company.
1957: First international partnership agreement.
1960: First agreement for the distribution of temperature control devices with Fenwal.
1968: IES became the main promoter of SEFARBLIN (Spanish Association of electric and heater resistors).
1969: IES became a founding partner of AMEC (Multi-sector Business Association).
2018: IES celebrated its 75th anniversary

CONSOLIDATION IN THE INTERNATIONAL MARKET
1965: IES set up its first stand in the Barcelona Trade Fair and signed its first export agreement to Cuba.
1972: Comercial Soler S.L was established to import and distribute high-quality components and industrial equipment in Spain and Portugal.
1980: IES consolidated its position in the international market.
1982: First stand in Hannover Messe, the most important industrial trade fair in Europe.
1983: Expanded its technical and R&D office.
1986: The company IES Europe Sarl was incorporated, based in Paris.
1987: The first series of IES airheaters was created.
1987: IES expanded its premises and built a new 1400m2 warehouse.
2000: IES’ exports reached 40% of its operations.

DEPLOYMENT OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES
1997: Creation of the first corporate website.
1997: IES achieved the ISO 9001 Standard.
1998: Deployment of the all-in-one ERP Movex software.
1999: Deployment of the assisted design software, AutoCad, for 2D drawings and 3D models.
2002: The Soler family took over Aquecind Lda as distributors in the Portuguese market.
2003: First big equipment for joint ventures.
2005: The third generation took over.
2007: TCX Soluciones Integrales S.L was incorporated for the processing of metal sheets.
2009: The Industrial Safety business unit was created.
2014: Deployment of Software Solid Edge for 3D design and synchronous technology.

OFFICIAL APPROVALS, CERTIFICATIONS AND BUSINESS AGREEMENTS
2010: IES obtained the Achilles Certification.
2012: Successfully completed the most ambitious project so far, Tonopah, USA.
2016: Merger, Industrias Eléctricas Soler took over Comercial Soler.
2017: IES obtained the ATEX Certification.
2017: IES obtained the SAIPEM Certification.
2018: IES obtained the ISO 104001 Standard for environmental management systems.
2019: IES entered into a business agreement with Proheat for heater wiring and electrical heat tracing systems.
2019: Exclusive rights agreement with Hörmann for population warning systems.
2019: Exclusive rights agreement with Luxsolar for air obstruction lights.
2019: Official approval by Siemens Gamesa.
2020: Exclusive rights agreement with Qlight for signs.
2021: Official approval by Adnoc.
